🌸 DIY Skincare Powder Blend
🧂 Ingredients
-
1 quart (total yield)
-
½ cup almond meal
-
¼ cup rose petal powder
-
1 tablespoon turmeric
-
2 teaspoons orange peel powder
-
½ cup chickpea flour
-
¼ cup kaolin clay
-
¼ cup brown rice flour
-
½ teaspoon cinnamon
🧰 Tools Needed
-
Quart-size canning jar with lid
-
Spice jar with sifter cap (optional)
1. To Make: Before you do this, seek out a face mask that can protect you, or wrap a bandana around your mouth and nose so you will not inhale the powders. Put all the powdered ingredients carefully in the canning jar. It might be an idea to sieve the flour made using brown rice because there always seems to be one or two larger rice grains left that can act a bit rough on the skin. Shake well and close the lid and mix thoroughly to a homogenous powder. Let stand 5 minutes or so; allowing the dust to settle to the jar.
2. To Store: This dry facial scrub can be kept in a spice jar with a sifter cap. To the completion of the jar, roll a sheet of paper into a cone (this way you are going to get a funnel). Twist one end so that it opens broad enough to go into the spice spring, and the other one broad enough to pour the powder into. Spoon the powder in the jar a little at a time and tape it together. After this jar gets filled up, put in the sifter and cap, and this scrub is ready to use! These may keep in the quart jar, or may be put into a smaller one, a clean dry spoonful of it being each time taken at a time in the cleansing. After tightening the lid, it can be stored up to one year.
3. To Use: Simply tap out a little bit of the powder into the palm of the hand then add water a bit at a time until it forms into a paste. Next gently wash your face on the smallest possible circles. wash it off using warm water and later apply toner and moisturizer.
